The biggest surprise of round 12 was guest Seoul Knights' (7-7) road victory over 6th ranked Seoul Thunders (6-8) 75-67 on Sunday evening. The best player for the winners was American center Jameel Warney (203-1994, college: Stony Brook) who had a double-double by scoring 32 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. chipped in 15 points. Knights' coach Hee-Chul Chun used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was Canadian Andrew Nicholson (206-1989, college: St.Bonaventure) who recorded 31 points and 5 rebounds. Seoul Knights moved-up to sixth place. Seoul Thunders at the other side dropped to the seventh position with eight games lost. They share it with Mobis Phoebus. Seoul Knights are looking forward to face higher ranked Wonju DB (#3) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Seoul Thunders will play against the league's second-placed LG Sakers (#2) and are hoping to win this game.
Important game to mention about took place in Wonju. Fourth ranked Sonicboom (8-6) saved a 1-point derby victory on the road edging one of their biggest challengers Wonju DB (8-5) 65-64 on Tuesday evening. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Wonju DB. It was a good game for American forward Derrick Williams (203-1991, college: Arizona) who saved his team from a defeat with 17 points and 8 rebounds. Jeonghyeon Moon contributed with 9 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. American center Henry Ellenson (208-1997, college: Marquette) replied with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 12 rebounds for Wonju DB. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Suwon KT maintains fourth position with 8-6 record. Wonju DB at the other side keeps the third place with five games lost. Suwon KT will play against league's second-placed LG Sakers in Changwon in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Wonju DB will play at home against Seoul Knights and hopes to get back on the winning track.

Worth to mention a great performance of Assem Marei who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 12 points, 14 rebounds and 8 assists. The best for the losing side was Shawn Long with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 12 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Anyang. Loser Egis dropped to the fifth place with six games lost. LG Sakers will meet Suwon KT (#4) in the next round. KCC Egis will play against Mobis Phoebus and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

In the last two games of round 12 Anyang crushed Mobis Phoebus in a road game 76-50. Suwon KT was smashed by Sono SG at home 63-85.

Mobis Phoebus - Anyang 50-76

There was no surprise in Ulsan where 7th ranked Mobis Phoebus (6-8) were crushed by second ranked Anyang (9-4) 76-50 on Sunday. Anyang forced 21 Mobis Phoebus turnovers. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Anyang made 7 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Johnny OBryant III (207-1993, college: LSU, agency: Slash Sports) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 9 rebounds and Junhyeong Byeon who added 10 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was American center Rayshaun Hammonds (206-1998, college: Georgia) with 13 points and 8 rebounds and the former international forward Jeonghyeon Moon (195-2001) scored 8 points and 5 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Anyang keeps a position of league leader, which they share with LG Sakers. Loser Mobis Phoebus keep the seventh place with eight games lost. They share the position with Seoul Thunders. Sono SG outrebounded Suwon KT 47-32 including a 19-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Sono SG looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Nathan Knight (208-1997, college: William & Mary) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds and Filipino Kevin Quiambao (193-2001) who added 22 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was American power forward Johnny OBryant III (207-1993, college: LSU, agency: Slash Sports) with 12 points and 5 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots) and scored 7 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Sono SG maintains ninth position with 4-9 record.
